Maysam Abedin
Director
Maysam is a transport economist who specialises in road reform, institutional development and public transport investments that enable economic growth and financial stability. With 20 years of experience, he has worked in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the United Kingdom.
In the context of institutional reform, Maysam has established Road Authorities, Road Funds and Road Asset Management Systems that support the cost-effective provision of resilient road networks. Additionally, he has supported the establishment of Public Transport Authorities and Transport Operating Companies by developing business plans, financial models and regulatory frameworks that enable a competitive market for service delivery.
Maysam also develops demand forecasts, assesses the economic case, and conducts financial due diligence for investment projects in railways, trams, Bus Rapid Transit, e-bus, ferries, toll roads, road rehabilitation and border crossings. Working to secure the funding for projects that deliver real progress on economic productivity, shared prosperity, climate-resilience and improved livelihoods.

David Brenig-Jones
Director
David is a transport planner who specialises in urban transport, strategic transport connectivity and transport decarbonisation, with a focus on economic growth and poverty reduction. He has over 15 years’ experience working in Africa, Asia, Europe and the UK.
In the urban context David develops transport masterplans, public transport reform programs and Bus Rapid Transit concepts that improve access to jobs and opportunity, while promoting efficient private-sector operation and effective public management.
In the strategic context, he has planned resilient multi-modal networks for regional blocks that facilitate trade and growth, studied the nexus between transport, trade and food security, and developed practical pathways for transport decarbonisation that include e-mobility.
His approach is to collaborate locally to develop realistic solutions that overcome the true barriers for implementation. He is also a keen innovator in the use of data, data tools, modelling and storytelling to better engage stakeholders and decision-makers.

Robert Geddes
Associate
Rob is a civil engineer who specialises in rural infrastructure development, road asset management, and climate-resilient transport networks that enable inclusive growth. He has over 30 years’ experience working across Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.
Rob supports governments, donors and NGOs with the design, implementation and evaluation of road improvement and maintenance programmes. He also advises on the establishment of road sector institutions and provides training to build local capacity in road engineering and asset management.
Rob’s recent work includes supporting national governments with transport policy reform, advising on resilient infrastructure strategies to address climate risks, and promoting innovations in road maintenance practices.
Rob draws on earlier career experience in civil works supervision to develop pragmatic, context-appropriate solutions that respond to operational realities and capacity constraints.
