Kyrgyzstan Road Asset Management Phase II

Implementing a Road Asset Management System for The Ministry of Transport and Communications in Kyrgyzstan

The Kyrgyz Republic aims to improve the sustainability of the road network by implementing a Road Asset Management System (RAMS) that is fit for purpose, affordable, and sustainable. It is expected that the RAMS will form the basis for planning and budgeting for the road network in the Kyrgyz Republic.

As part of the ADB‐financed CAREC Corridors 1 and 3 Connector Road Project, Phase I RAMS integrated a software tool to provide a transparent approach to allocating the budget for road maintenance, rehabilitation and improvement, responding to the growing needs of the industry. With additional financing, Phase II RAMS development will increase the amount of data collected, further improve the RAMS application, and institutionalise and automate the RAMS application.

DTS Ltd. with Roughton International Ltd. are providing the services to The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) in Kyrgyzstan. The Phase II RAMS development is expected to take place over a 30‐month period.
